Migraine headaches affect a major percentage of the population which is why we thought it was necessary to deliver a Miracle Migraine Juice that will help the millions of people who suffer from migraines every day.

What Causes Migraines?

There isn’t much medical evidence that demonstrates a real understanding of what causes people to develop migraines. Though what is true is that migraines have been linked to environmental and genetic factors.

Migraine headaches can be caused by changes in your brainstem and the way they interact with your trigeminal nerve which is a pain pathway. Imbalances that occur in your brain chemical like serotonin helps regulate pain in your nervous system. There is ongoing research on the role serotonin plays in causing migraine headaches.

When you’re experiencing a migraine, your serotonin level drops causing your trigeminal system to let go of substances called neuropeptides. Those neuropeptides then travel to the outer covering of your brain, called meninges, and that produces a headache.

What Triggers a Migraine?

Whatever it is going on in our heads that cause a headache, what has been proven through studies are the common triggers for a migraine. Some of the major migraine triggers are:

Hormonal changes – upgoing levels in hormonal balance trigger headaches and is most commonly seen in women. When estrogen levels change drastically before or during your menstrual cycle, there is a high probability of getting a migraine. Same goes during pregnancy and menopause.

There is hormonal medication like oral contraceptives or hormone replacement therapy that may worsen headaches that occur during these life phases.

Food – Salty foods, processed foods, and aged cheeses are common triggers for headaches. Studies have also shown that not eating or fasting can trigger migraines as well.

Additives in food – Specific sweeteners and preservatives have been linked to migraines.

Drinks – Caffeinated drinks are known migraine triggers as well as alcoholic beverages.

Stress – Living a high-stress life can cause migraine headaches. That means both a stressful work and personal life.

Sensory stimuli – Certain people are more sensitive to environmental components that stimulate our senses which can cause headaches. Things like bright lights, loud sounds, and strong smells can be triggers for a migraine.

Poor sleep patterns – Drastic changes in your sleep schedule or missing out on sleep can both trigger a migraine.

Intense physical exertion – It’s quite common that after a day of running around or working out you develop a headache from the exertion.

Environmental changes – Weather condition changes specifically in pressure can cause a migraine to occur.

Medications – Migraine headaches are a common side effect of certain medicines.
